FAQ: WHY DOES MY DRAIN KEEP GETTING CLOGGED?
Answer: In most cases the cause is tree root penetration. Sewer lines are an overwhelming source of nutrients for roots around the clock. Usually, the pipe that is clogged underground between the house and city sewer is much larger than the opening we have to snake it from. Therefore, we are forced to use a cutter that is in some cases less than half the size of the clogged pipe. The cable travels on the bottom of the pipe where the water flows, and follows the path of least resistance. The result is a small hole that is drilled through a very severe problem, allowing the roots to bud off in several different directions, grow back thicker, and eventually breaking the pipe.
